Role Overview UPS is hiring a Senior AI ML Engineer with a focus on MLOps to join its Marketing Technology team in Chennai. This role sits at the intersection of Data Science and Engineering, responsible for transforming experimental machine learning models into production-grade, scalable, and business-ready solutions within the Global Customer Platform. You will be part of a team that powers one of the world's largest logistics networks, helping move up to 38 million packages a day through intelligent, data-driven systems. Key Responsibilities - Deploy and manage production-ready marketing ML models including Propensity to Buy, Churn Prediction, and Customer Lifetime Value models - Build fully automated training, retraining, and inference pipelines with CI/CD integration for end-to-end ML lifecycle management - Enable real-time and batch scoring workflows while eliminating manual scoring processes through automation - Design and maintain feature stores to ensure consistency between training and inference environments - Monitor model performance in production, detecting and mitigating data drift and concept drift - Track prediction accuracy, stability, and bias metrics while maintaining versioning and reproducibility standards - Optimize data pipelines for reliability and scalability in collaboration with data engineering teams - Mentor junior engineers and help shape MLOps best practices across the team Required Qualifications - 5 to 10 or more years of experience in data engineering, ML engineering, or MLOps roles - Strong hands-on experience deploying ML models into production environments - Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, or PyTorch - Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Kubeflow, or similar platforms - Familiarity with containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes - Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP - Solid understanding of feature stores and model lifecycle management - Knowledge of monitoring tools for drift detection and model performance tracking Why Join Us UPS is a Fortune Global 500 organization with a culture that celebrates problem-solving, innovation, and continuous growth.
