Technology Lead

Role Overview Unblock is seeking a visionary Technology Lead to join our founding leadership team in Bengaluru. In this strategic, hands-on role, you will define and build the technological foundation of our science-backed tension care and emotional wellness platform. You will lead mobile app, web, and backend development, work on cutting-edge conversational tools, and scale our system to deliver 24/7 support. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute the technology roadmap, including platform scalability, security, and real-time chat/voice integration - Oversee full-stack product development across mobile applications and backend systems - Recruit, mentor, and build a high-performing engineering team from the ground up - Manage cloud infrastructure and integrations with third-party messaging and payment gateways - Implement robust data security measures to protect sensitive user health and wellness data - Collaborate with the CEO on fundraising, investor relations, and strategic business growth Required Qualifications - Eight to ten years of software engineering experience, with prior leadership in startup environments - Proficiency in full-stack development, including React Native, Node.js, Python, and cloud platforms - Experience implementing real-time communications such as WebRTC, tele-conversational APIs, or data analytics - Proven track record of building products from scratch in the consumer application or digital health space - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities Why Join Us This role offers a significant equity stake and the unique opportunity to shape the future of mental and emotional wellness in India. - 8 to 10 years of experience in software development and technical leadership - Full-stack experience with React Native, Node.js, Python, and AWS - Prior experience as a CTO, Tech Lead, or senior engineer in a high-growth startup - Experience with WebRTC, Agora, or other tele-conversational tools - Strong understanding of data privacy and security regulations - Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for social impact
