This full-time, on-site opportunity based in Chennai is ideal for a motivated engineering graduate looking to build a specialised career in structural steel connection design within a collaborative global team. Key Responsibilities - Analyse structural steel connection requirements and perform accurate design calculations for a variety of project types - Prepare detailed design sketches, specifications, and documentation in close coordination with the detailing team - Review contract documents and interpret relevant design codes and standards such as AISC and BS/Eurocodes - Collaborate with project managers, detailers, and checkers to develop constructible and cost-effective connection solutions - Support the preparation and review of CAD models and engineering drawings throughout project execution - Respond to RFIs and assist in resolving design-related queries and issues in a timely manner - Maintain thorough project documentation, adhere to delivery timelines, and contribute to continuous improvement of internal design processes Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline - Solid foundation in structural steel connection design principles and engineering mechanics - Familiarity with steel connection design and detailing practices - Working knowledge of design codes and standards including AISC, BS/Eurocodes, or equivalent frameworks - Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications with a strong eye for detail - Effective communication and collaboration skills suited to working with global, cross-functional teams - Prior exposure to steel connection design, structural steel detailing, or related fields is an added advantage Why Join Us Ovation Services offers a unique platform to work on technically challenging, fast-track projects under the guidance of an experienced US-based project management and checking team with over three decades of industry expertise.
