Solution Architect - Java Full Stack

Role Overview EPAM Systems is looking for a seasoned Solution Architect with deep expertise in Java Full Stack development to join their Chennai team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance software solutions for fintech applications. You will collaborate with global engineering and architecture teams to define technical direction and drive innovation aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities - Design and architect secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions that meet business and product requirements - Define and execute technology strategy for one or more products in close collaboration with senior technical and product stakeholders - Partner with global Solution Architecture and Engineering teams to establish standards, principles, and best practices - Evaluate and recommend technical solution alternatives leveraging current and emerging technologies - Lead software implementation efforts using microservices-based architecture tailored for fintech platforms - Mentor and support development teams to encourage technical excellence and a culture of continuous improvement - Work directly with product owners and operations teams to ensure smooth and timely software delivery - Promote agile development practices and a collaborative engineering culture - Build prototypes and provide hands-on support to solve complex technical challenges Required Qualifications - 14 or more years of product engineering experience focused on designing scalable software solutions - Strong grounding in Computer Science fundamentals, web application development, and microservices architecture - Proven experience designing high-transaction-volume financial systems with global scalability and high availability requirements - Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS, React, and Angular - Strong back-end development skills using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot - Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server for large-scale deployments - Hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms such as PCF, Kubernetes, Azure, or AWS - Experience working in Agile delivery environments with a focus on collaboration and iterative development - Excellent communication skills to effectively engage both technical and non-technical audiences Why Join Us EPAM Systems offers a globally connected engineering culture where you can work on impactful fintech products alongside world-class architects and engineering leaders.
