Software Engineering Lead Analyst - HIH

Role Overview The Cigna Group's Evernorth Health Services is seeking a Software Engineering Lead Analyst to join our team in Hyderabad. In this hybrid role, you will act as a technical lead and hands-on contributor designing complex data models, database solutions, and integration pipelines. Work with globally distributed teams to deliver high-performing data platforms that support pharmacy and health benefit decisions. Key Responsibilities - Design and maintain complex SQL, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, and triggers. - Create scalable data models, data pipelines, and enterprise ETL/ELT solutions. - Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across multiple applications. - Drive database performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and capacity planning. - Ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency, lineage, and governance. - Develop automated data validation and reconciliation scripts using Python and Shell. - Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and establish development standards. - Partner with onshore and offshore stakeholders to prioritize work and manage risks. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline. - Overall 7 years of software engineering, database engineering, or data engineering experience. - At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL optimization. - Proven experience in a technical leadership capacity for software engineering teams. - Extensive experience designing and supporting scalable data integration pipelines. - 7+ years of experience in software engineering/data engineering. - Hands-on expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and PL/SQL. - Strong database performance tuning and SQL optimization skills. - Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, Python, and Shell scripting. - Technical leadership experience in a distributed team environment. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields. - Preferred experience with AWS cloud data services.
