Software Engineer - HPC and AI

Role Overview Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join its High Performance Computing, AI and Labs division based in Bengaluru. This is a full-time onsite role where you will contribute to sustaining engineering, production software development, and the advancement of HPC and AI software stacks. You will work alongside architects, executive leadership, and program managers across geographies to deliver cutting-edge solutions for large-scale computing environments. Key Responsibilities - Develop and deliver production-quality software solutions directly to customers - Mentor, educate, and guide junior members of the engineering team - Create thorough documentation, time estimates, and delivery schedules for assigned projects - Collaborate with external customers and senior HPE architects to understand and address complex technical requirements - Work effectively across distributed teams spanning multiple geographic locations - Build, integrate, and demonstrate software solutions within an agile development environment Required Qualifications - Masters or Doctorate degree in software engineering or a closely related field - Minimum 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience with prior production software development - Proficiency in C, C++, Fortran, Python, or other relevant programming languages - Strong familiarity with Linux environments and large-scale system development - Experience with development tools, containerization technologies such as k8s or k3s, virtualization, or relevant AI domains - Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools such as Jira is highly desirable - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Background in HPC or AI is a strong advantage Why Join Us At HPE, you will be part of a globally respected organisation that champions innovation, diversity, and professional growth.
