Software Development Engineer 2 (SDE2)

Role Overview Amazon is looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer 2 to join the AFT Inbound Foundations and Routing team in Bengaluru. This team is at the heart of building core software services that manage inventory movement across 570+ fulfillment centers spanning North America, Europe, and Japan. You will work on high-impact systems that interface with sortation and supply chain planning tools to drive accurate promise and planning decisions for millions of customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop scalable, high-availability, low-latency software services for warehouse inventory orchestration - Build new software components from the ground up while creating practical solutions to complex business and technical challenges - Collaborate closely with operations staff at Amazon fulfillment centers across the globe - Apply strong architectural principles including design patterns, reliability, and system scaling to both new and existing systems - Contribute to the full software development lifecycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and production operations Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience outside of internships - At least 2 years of experience in system design or architecture covering design patterns, reliability, and scalability - Hands-on experience with at least one programming language - 3 or more years of experience in the Video Games industry supporting title development, release, or live operations Why Join Us At Amazon, you will be part of an inclusive culture that empowers engineers to solve deep technical problems and drive innovations that shape the future of global supply chains.
