Software Application Engineer

Role Overview Amazon Music Catalog is on a mission to become the world's most comprehensive source of music and artist information. The AMC Support Engineering team is looking for a skilled Software Application Engineer to provide production support for tier 1 through tier 3 services, working at the intersection of technology, operations, and customer experience. This is a high-impact role where you will play a lead part in onboarding technical and operational tasks from the Engineering team to the Support team. Key Responsibilities - Handle incoming support tickets with extensive troubleshooting across multiple products, features, and services - Lead the onboarding of technical and operational tasks from Engineering to the Support team - Work on operations and maintenance coding projects using Java, Perl, or shell scripts and AWS technologies - Provide software deployment support across staging and production environments - Develop internal tools to improve operations and maintenance workflows - Own two or more digital products or components and manage system and support status reporting - Coordinate customer notifications and workflow follow-ups to maintain service level agreements - Collaborate with the support team for handoffs, active issue resolution, and building a team knowledge base Required Qualifications - 2 or more years of software development experience or 2 or more years of technical support experience - Hands-on experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems - Working knowledge of Unix environments - Proficiency in scripting using modern programming languages - Familiarity with web services, distributed systems, and web application development - Experience troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software RAID - Knowledge of REST web services, XML, and JSON Why Join Us At Amazon, you will be part of an inclusive culture that empowers you to deliver meaningful results for millions of music customers across Alexa and Amazon Music.
