ServiceNow CMDB Asset Management Specialist - Tech Lead

Role Overview State Street is seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Asset Management Specialist at the Tech Lead level to own and govern IT asset and configuration data across the enterprise. This role is central to enabling reliable IT operations, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making by maintaining alignment with ITIL standards within the ServiceNow platform. You will serve as a hands-on technical expert driving CMDB, Foundation Data, and CSDM initiatives in close collaboration with architects, developers, and platform owners. Key Responsibilities - Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Configuration Items and IT assets within the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency at all times - Collaborate with ServiceNow developers, solution architects, and integration teams to maintain seamless data flow between the CMDB, discovery tools, and external systems - Monitor, analyze, and report on CMDB health metrics such as completeness, correctness, and compliance, and lead remediation efforts to close identified gaps - Support ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and system integrations to enable accurate and automated population of CI and asset data - Ensure all CMDB processes and underlying data meet audit, risk, security, and regulatory requirements across the organization Required Qualifications - Minimum 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB including CI classes, relationships, reconciliation, and normalization - Demonstrated experience supporting IT Asset Management and Configuration Management processes in line with ITIL standards - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data quality and continuous process improvement - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or equivalent certification is preferred - ITIL v3 or v4 certification and working knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, APIs, and third-party integrations is an added advantage - Familiarity with cloud platforms, hybrid infrastructure, and modern IT operations models Why Join Us State Street offers a collaborative and inclusive global work environment where technical innovation is recognized and rewarded, backed by over two centuries of financial services leadership.
