ServiceNow CMDB Asset Management Specialist - Manager

Role Overview State Street is seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Asset Management Specialist at the Manager level to own and drive the integrity of IT asset and configuration data across its Global Technology Services function. This is a hands-on technical leadership role that sits at the heart of the organisation's digital transformation journey, ensuring that Configuration Management Database operations align with ITIL standards and support critical business decisions. The specialist will work closely with architects, developers, platform owners, and service teams to deliver reliable configuration data that enables regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities - Own and manage the complete lifecycle of Configuration Items and IT assets within the ServiceNow CMDB, maintaining data accuracy, completeness, and consistency at all times - Collaborate with ServiceNow developers, solution architects, and integration teams to ensure smooth and automated data flow between the CMDB, discovery tools, and external systems - Monitor and analyse CMDB health metrics including completeness, correctness, and compliance, and lead remediation initiatives wherever data gaps are identified - Support and optimise ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and third-party integrations to enable accurate and automated population of CI and asset records - Ensure that CMDB processes and underlying data meet audit, security, risk, and regulatory requirements across the organisation - Work alongside Foundation Data and CSDM initiative teams to drive consistent configuration management practices enterprise-wide Required Qualifications - Minimum 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, CMDB, IT Asset Management, or related ITSM functions - Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB including CI classes, relationships, reconciliation, and normalisation - Solid understanding of IT Asset Management and Configuration Management processes aligned with ITIL frameworks - Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and system integrations including APIs, data imports, and third-party tools - Analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to identify data quality issues and drive process improvements - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or other ServiceNow certifications are preferred - ITIL v3 or v4 certification with applied knowledge of best practices is a strong advantage - Familiarity with cloud platforms, hybrid infrastructure, and modern IT operations models is desirable Why Join Us State Street offers a collaborative and inclusive global work environment where technical expertise and innovation are genuinely valued, along with competitive benefits, flexible work programmes, and rich learning and development opportunities. - 8 to 10 years of experience with ServiceNow CMDB and IT Asset Management - Hands-on expertise in CI classes, relationships, reconciliation, and normalisation in ServiceNow - Strong knowledge of ITIL-aligned Configuration Management and ITAM processes - Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and system integrations - Proficiency in APIs, data imports, and third-party tool integrations - Strong analytical and data quality problem-solving skills - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred - ITIL v3 or v4 certification preferred - Familiarity with cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments
