Senior Associate - Payroll Accounting Record to Report (North America Region)

Role Overview Cargill is looking for a Senior Associate in Payroll Accounting within the Record to Report (RTR) function, specifically supporting the North America region. This role involves performing structured financial accounting activities including payroll processing, general ledger close, and compliance monitoring. The position operates under defined supervision and requires collaboration with internal business units and external banking partners to ensure accurate and timely financial data management. Key Responsibilities - Process journal entries and intercompany transactions as part of routine RTR activities - Complete monthly and quarterly general ledger close activities and balance sheet reconciliations - Handle North America payroll accounting including payroll accruals, benefits reconciliation, garnishments, 401K, and deferred compensation - Manage NA payroll tax processing and related compliance activities - Maintain standard operating procedures and monitor compliance with financial transaction recording standards - Perform fixed asset accounting, cost and profit center allocation, bank accounting, and bank reconciliations - Support audit activities and identify opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence - Respond to business contacts and internal customers to ensure accurate and timely process delivery Required Qualifications - Minimum 2 to 3 years of payroll accounting work experience - Bachelor or Master degree in Commerce, Business Management, or Finance (BCom, BBM, MBA, or MCom) - Hands-on experience with SAP ERP and ADP Payroll systems - Sound understanding of financial transaction recording standards, statutory reporting, and tax regulations - Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume data with accuracy Why Join Us Cargill is one of the world's largest privately held corporations offering a stable and growth-oriented work environment with exposure to global finance operations.
