Security Consultant - Cloud Security Services

Role Overview IBM Consulting is looking for a skilled Cloud Security Consultant to join its growing team in Chennai. In this role, you will work closely with client IT and business leaders to help them understand, strategise, and strengthen their security posture across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will be part of a collaborative global team that leverages IBM technology, Red Hat, and strategic partnerships to drive meaningful outcomes for clients across industries. Key Responsibilities - Define and articulate business drivers and objectives to shape effective cloud security strategies aligned with client goals - Design and implement end-to-end security services spanning risk and compliance, application security, data protection, endpoint, and network security - Deliver cloud security solutions by applying hands-on technical expertise and collaborating directly with client stakeholders - Provide expert guidance on cloud security best practices, risk management frameworks, and compliance requirements - Support clients in assessing and improving their overall cloud security posture across hybrid and multi-cloud platforms Required Qualifications - Exposure to cloud security strategy development including defining business drivers and designing domain-specific security services - Experience implementing security solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments addressing both native and non-native security concerns - Familiarity with security domains including risk and compliance, application, data, endpoint, and network security - Ability to deliver technical cloud security solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders - Working knowledge of cloud security best practices, risk management principles, and compliance standards Why Join Us At IBM Consulting, your growth is supported through a culture of curiosity, empathy, and continuous learning that values your unique background and long-term career ambitions. - Cloud security strategy development and design experience - Hands-on exposure to hybrid and multi-cloud security implementation - Knowledge of risk and compliance, application, data, endpoint, and network security domains - Experience delivering technical cloud security solutions - Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and best practices - Advanced threat protection and risk management exposure - Strong stakeholder collaboration and communication skills - Master's degree preferred
