SAP ABAP Development Lead

Role Overview Tech Data APAC, a TD SYNNEX Company and Fortune 500 global IT distributor operating across 100+ countries, is looking for a seasoned SAP ABAP Development Lead to join its Chennai team. In this role, you will architect and deliver integrated SAP solutions aligned with business requirements across multi-tier environments. You will play a critical leadership role bridging technical development with functional teams while mentoring third-party developers to drive project success. Key Responsibilities - Design, build, test, implement, and support enhancements and corrections based on business requirements and functional specifications - Ensure all business applications are developed in compliance with established architectural standards and best practices - Collaborate closely with SAP functional teams and provide development support for SAP EWM and SAP ECC modules - Lead and guide third-party development partners to deliver projects on time and within quality benchmarks - Leverage AI capabilities, including but not limited to SAP AI products, to enhance development efficiency - Stay aligned with the SAP roadmap and contribute to continuous improvement of technical practices Required Qualifications - Minimum 10 years of relevant SAP ABAP development experience - Proven expertise as an SAP Technical Lead with hands-on S/4HANA experience - Strong understanding of SAP functional modules and the broader SAP product roadmap - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across global teams - Ability to integrate AI tools into development workflows Why Join Us TD SYNNEX offers a hybrid work model, competitive compensation with annual salary reviews, and a strong culture of continuous learning and career progression.
