Application Development Specialist

Role Overview Tech Data APAC, a TD SYNNEX Company, is looking for an experienced Application Development Specialist to join its engineering team in Chennai. In this full-time mid-senior role, you will work on building and maintaining robust full-stack applications using Java Spring Boot on the backend and React.js on the frontend. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions that drive real business impact. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Spring Boot and REST APIs - Build responsive and user-friendly UI components using React.js functional components and hooks - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow developers across the product lifecycle - Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code following best practices - Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance to ensure reliability - Participate actively in code reviews and technical discussions to continuously raise the bar - Integrate frontend React applications seamlessly with backend APIs - Work with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB Required Qualifications - 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Java (version 8 and above) - Proven experience with Spring Boot including REST APIs, Spring MVC, and Spring Security - Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful web services - Practical experience with React.js including state management techniques - Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript ES6+ - Experience working with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA - Familiarity with Git and standard version control workflows - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and build tools like Maven or Gradle - Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP is a strong advantage - Exposure to unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or Jest is preferred - Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies Why Join Us At Tech Data APAC, you will be part of a globally recognised organisation that champions diversity, equity, and inclusion while investing deeply in your professional growth through leadership programmes, well-being initiatives, and a collaborative culture.
