Job Description

Role Overview Jiva Water Farm Devices is seeking a motivated Sales Business Development Manager to drive sustainable agricultural transformation across Karnataka. This field-intensive role focuses on building strong networks with farmers, dealers, and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). You will lead product demonstrations, manage trials, and scale sales for our innovative, eco-friendly irrigation devices. Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, dealers, FPOs, and agricultural cooperatives - Plan and conduct village-level farmer meetings, awareness programs, and group discussions - Organize and manage product demonstrations and trial plots to showcase device efficacy - Drive sales conversion by converting trial plots into large-scale orders across networks - Collect regional market insights, farmer feedback, and competitive intelligence to guide strategy Required Qualifications - Two to four years of experience in agricultural sales, marketing, drip irrigation, or farm technology - Mandate: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Kannada - Proven ability to mobilize groups, organize farmer meetings, and conduct field demonstrations - Strong personal network with local farmers and FPOs in Karnataka districts - Willingness to undertake extensive local travel and field operations Why Join Us This is a high-impact opportunity to work directly at the grassroots level, scaling sustainable agritech solutions that improve soil health and crop yields.

Requirements

- 2 to 4 years of experience in agricultural sales, marketing, or drip irrigation - Fluent in Kannada and English (mandatory requirement) - Deep connection and networking skills within rural farming communities - Solid understanding of FPO structures and agricultural dealership networks - Ability to travel extensively across South and North Karnataka districts - Strong self-motivation and ownership of sales targets
