Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and client-focused Relationship Manager to manage and grow our Group Credit Life insurance portfolio in Chennai. In this role, you will work closely with banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions to identify new business opportunities and deliver consistent revenue growth. You will play a key part in building lasting partnerships and ensuring top-quality service delivery across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business growth and revenue targets for Group Credit Life insurance in the assigned territory
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities by partnering with banks, NBFCs, and other financial institutions to expand the credit life insurance portfolio
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients and partners, negotiating agreements and finalising contracts to drive business outcomes
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs to continuously refine and adapt business strategies
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new group credit life schemes and timely processing of insurance policies
- Oversee service quality including claims handling, premium collection, and overall client satisfaction
- Prepare and present regular business reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to senior management
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, and marketing teams to streamline internal processes and enhance the customer experience
- Participate actively in product development discussions and market feedback initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field
- Understanding of insurance products, especially Group Credit Life insurance, is an advantage
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyse business performance data and implement corrective action plans
- Self-motivated with a target-driven approach to sales and business development
- Willingness to work with cross-functional teams and external partners
