Principal Analyst - Account to Report (ATR)

Role Overview AB InBev GCC India, a strategic global capability center established in 2014 for Anheuser-Busch InBev, is looking for a Principal Analyst within the Account-to-Report (ATR) function. This role focuses on end-to-end Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting and is based out of Bengaluru. The position plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and process excellence within a dynamic global shared services environment. Key Responsibilities - Handle complete Fixed Assets accounting lifecycle including asset creation, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirements, impairments, and write-offs - Execute month-end close activities for Fixed Assets in alignment with close calendars and analyze depreciation variances - Perform lease accounting under IFRS 16 and ASC 842 including ROU asset setup, lease liability accounting, and monthly journal entries - Support lease modifications, term reassessments, and compliance validation - Carry out FA and lease sub-ledger to GL reconciliations and clear open items within defined SLAs - Ensure SOX and MICS control compliance with thorough audit documentation - Monitor Capital Work in Progress balances and coordinate timely asset capitalization with Projects and Procurement teams - Prepare Fixed Assets and Lease schedules for management and statutory reporting purposes - Support both internal and external audit requirements by providing relevant evidence and documentation - Contribute to process improvement initiatives including automation, ERP enhancements, and SOP maintenance Required Qualifications - Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory - Minimum 1 year of experience in Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting, or General Accounting - Hands-on experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA, particularly FA and Lease modules - Working knowledge of IFRS 16 and ASC 842 lease accounting standards - Exposure to SOX and MICS internal controls and audit processes - Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel and Word - Experience in a GBS, Shared Services, or multinational environment is preferred - Strong reconciliation, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills Why Join Us AB InBev GCC India offers a high-impact global work environment where data and analytics drive meaningful business transformation across finance, operations, and technology.
