PLC Programmer

Role Overview Talent Zone Consultant is looking for an experienced PLC Programmer to join an automation team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and configuring PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for machine assembly and discrete manufacturing lines. You will work closely with electrical and mechanical designers to select automation products and implement cutting-edge technologies. Key Responsibilities - Program and configure Schneider PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems using SFC, Ladder, and Structured Text languages - Configure, troubleshoot, and integrate communication protocols including Modbus, Profibus, TCP/IP, FTP, and Ethernet/IP - Collaborate with mechanical and electrical machine designers to select, validate, and integrate appropriate automation products - Troubleshoot applications, electrical circuits, mechanical systems, and pneumatic components during machine setup and testing - Validate machine risk assessments, safety circuits, and assembly poka-yokes, and perform cycle time studies Required Qualifications - BE or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline - Four to seven years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and PLC programming - Solid understanding of general manufacturing processes, discrete assembly lines, and machine building - Hands-on experience with industrial elements such as lasers, robotics, vision inspection, servo drives, load cells, and sensors - Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and a strong advantage if fluent in Kannada, Telugu, or Tamil Why Join Us This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work on complex industrial automation projects and build machines using the latest technologies. - BE, BTech, or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering - 4 to 7+ years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation - Proven experience with Schneider PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming (Ladder, SFC, Structured Text) - Hands-on experience with communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, TCP/IP, and Ethernet/IP - Experience integrating and troubleshooting industrial elements (robotics, vision systems, scanners, servo drives, sensors) - Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematic designs - Strong debugging skills for electrical circuits, pneumatics, and hydraulics - Knowledge of machine safety regulations, risk assessments, and cycle-time balancing - Strong communication skills in English; local languages (Kannada, Tamil, Telugu) are a plus
