Patent Coordinator

Role Overview Novo Nordisk Global Business Services is looking for a skilled Patent Coordinator to join the Corporate Intellectual Property team in Bangalore. In this role, you will independently manage complex patent administrative tasks across multiple global jurisdictions, work closely with patent attorneys worldwide, and play a key part in protecting the intellectual property behind life-changing therapies. Key Responsibilities - Provide end-to-end patent support services to the global patent organisation, ensuring all patents remain in force and are protected against third-party challenges - Independently handle all formal matters related to Indian patent filing, prosecution, and communication with the Indian Patent Office, staying current on IPO Rules and Acts - Manage incoming and outgoing case-related correspondence, ensuring accurate archiving and zero document loss - Partner with patent attorneys to secure patent protection, support patent surveillance, and respond to third-party challenges - Supervise and train Patent Coordinators and Associate Patent Coordinators while managing your own formality due dates - Collaborate with global Patent Coordinator teams to troubleshoot, share best practices, and improve operational processes - Drive process improvement initiatives and help transition new Patent Coordinator tasks to CIP-GBS in coordination with the Manager Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a strong academic record - Minimum 3 years of experience as a Patent Coordinator, preferably in a multinational company or law firm with a demonstrated zero-error track record - Hands-on experience with ANAQUA or a comparable patent management system, including end-to-end case handling and data maintenance - Solid knowledge of patent formal matters related to EPO, IPO, PCT, and USPTO procedures - Proven experience supervising and training junior team members with the ability to give constructive feedback - Exceptional attention to detail and ability to accurately extract and record information from patent and non-patent sources - Excellent written and spoken English communication skills for effective global collaboration - Strong process-oriented thinking, problem-solving ability, and curiosity to propose innovative solutions Why Join Us At Novo Nordisk, you become part of a 100-year legacy dedicated to defeating serious chronic diseases and improving lives across the globe.
