Okta CIAM Developer

Role Overview Tata Consultancy Services is looking for an experienced Okta CIAM Developer to join its growing Identity and Access Management practice in Chennai. This is a full-time, in-person role suited for professionals with a strong background in customer identity solutions and enterprise-grade integrations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in Okta platform capabilities and modern authentication protocols to deliver secure, scalable identity experiences. Key Responsibilities - Implement Okta CIAM capabilities including Universal Directory, Adaptive MFA, and Passwordless Authentication - Configure Social Login and Identity Federation using OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SAML protocols - Design and manage progressive profiling and user registration flows - Integrate Okta CIAM with web applications (SPA, MVC), mobile apps (iOS and Android), and API-based platforms - Connect Okta with customer portals, partner platforms, and microservices-based architectures - Work with REST APIs, JWT tokens, and manage token lifecycle across integrated systems - Apply MFA, adaptive authentication, and risk-based access policies - Collaborate with stakeholders across large, complex enterprise environments and maintain thorough documentation Required Qualifications - 4 or more years of hands-on experience with Okta or similar IAM platforms - Strong working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML - Experience integrating CIAM solutions with web, mobile, and API-based applications - Proficiency with REST APIs, JWT, and token lifecycle management - Understanding of MFA, adaptive authentication, and risk-based access controls - Excellent stakeholder communication and technical documentation skills - Proven ability to operate effectively in large-scale enterprise environments Why Join Us TCS is one of India's most respected technology employers, offering opportunities to work on complex, high-impact projects for global clients.
