Mortgage and Loan Process Specialist

Role Overview NTT DATA, Inc. is actively seeking experienced Mortgage and Loan Processing professionals to join its Banking BPO operations in Chennai. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will support end-to-end credit review activities for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) clients. You will evaluate credit applications, analyse financial statements, borrower profiles, cash-flow summaries, and collateral documentation. A significant part of your work will involve conducting periodic loan account reviews to assess repayment behaviour, account conduct, and overall exposure quality. You will verify borrower adherence to approved loan terms, repayment schedules, and applicable covenants, and will prepare well-structured credit review notes and working papers in accordance with standard operating procedures. You will also collaborate closely with onshore Relationship Managers to assess creditworthiness using internal rating models and risk-scoring tools, contribute to portfolio reviews, participate in training programmes as required, and attend team meetings or client calls as needed. Required Qualifications Candidates must hold a university degree or equivalent qualification with a minimum of three years of formal study in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline. Prior experience in a Banking BPO environment with a focus on mortgage or loan processing is strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential for effective client and stakeholder interaction. The ability to work scheduled shifts and maintain strict process compliance is a must. 1 to 3 years of experience in a Banking BPO environment with a focus on mortgage or loan processing University degree or equivalent with 3 or more years of formal study in Accounting or Commerce Proficiency in reviewing credit applications and analysing basic financial statements Experience preparing credit review notes and working papers as per standard operating procedures Familiarity with loan account reviews, repayment schedules, and covenant verification Strong oral and written communication skills in English Ability to work scheduled shifts consistently Willingness to participate in training programmes and team meetings based on business requirements
