Middle Office Exchange Traded Derivatives Senior Associate

Role Overview State Street, one of the world's leading custodian banks and asset intelligence firms, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Transaction Management Exchange Traded Derivatives team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external clients while overseeing day-to-day ETD operations within the Middle Office Services division. You will play a critical role in driving trade lifecycle excellence, client service delivery, and risk management across a globally connected team. Key Responsibilities - Manage daily operations of the Transaction Management Exchange Traded Derivatives team for assigned clients - Drive trade confirmation, processing, settlement, and reconciliation activities with prime brokers - Validate and process margin requirements and execute wire transfers as per client agreements - Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all client reporting within agreed service level agreements - Serve as subject matter expert and primary escalation point for client-initiated queries - Maintain and update client recordkeeping data with accuracy and consistency - Collaborate with internal teams, custodians, and brokers to resolve exceptions and open issues - Support compliance reviews, internal audits, and control assessments - Contribute to process improvement initiatives leveraging technology and automation Required Qualifications - Degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline with relevant industry experience - Strong working knowledge of Middle Office operations and Exchange Traded Derivatives trade lifecycle - Demonstrated experience in client communication and interaction at multiple organisational levels - Familiarity with investment management operations and supporting technologies - Experience participating in organisational change and understanding change management principles - Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint is essential - Exposure to low-code tools, SQL, or Python is an added advantage - Excellent written and spoken English communication skills Why Join Us State Street offers a competitive benefits package, flexible work programmes, and extensive learning and development opportunities to help you grow both professionally and personally. - Degree in Finance or Business or equivalent qualification - Strong knowledge of Exchange Traded Derivatives trade confirmation and processing - Experience in trade reconciliation and margin validation - Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint - Excellent client communication and relationship management skills - Understanding of Middle Office operations and trade lifecycle - Exposure to SQL, Python, or low-code automation tools - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines - Risk awareness and sound judgement in escalation decisions
