Role Overview
CoinDCX, India's largest crypto exchange, is looking for a seasoned Manager to lead its Custody Operations function in Bengaluru. This is a mission-critical leadership role at the intersection of Fund Accounting, digital asset security, and liquidity management, where you will own the full custody framework end-to-end. You will be responsible for building and mentoring a high-performance team while ensuring zero settlement failures, zero open audit pointers, and uninterrupted liquidity across all exchange operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of Custody Operations associates, setting clear ownership and outcome-driven metrics
- Oversee daily fund transfers and ensure timely reconciliation of custody positions and settlement activities across exchange wallets
- Own the crypto security controls framework covering wallet security, access governance, key management protocols, and transaction authorisation
- Design and execute a structured audit calendar and drive end-to-end closure of all audit pointers with zero overdue items
- Maintain accurate real-time Fund Accounting records across all custody wallets and exchange positions
- Design and own a liquidity forecasting model that anticipates funding needs 24 to 48 hours ahead and execute rebalancing before shortfalls occur
- Define and maintain the operational risk framework including escalation paths, thresholds, and response playbooks
- Act as the primary interface for Custody Ops with Trade Operations, OTC Desk, Finance, Analytics, Product, and Engineering teams
Required Qualifications
- 4 to 10 years of experience in operations, finance, treasury, or a closely related function
- Demonstrated experience in designing or managing audit processes and enforcing operational controls
- Strong numerical aptitude with advanced proficiency in Excel
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships and influence without direct authority
- Prior exposure to cryptocurrency, digital asset operations, or crypto exchanges is preferred
- Familiarity with crypto security frameworks including wallet management, key custody, and on-chain vs off-chain settlement is a strong advantage
- Background in fintech, trading firms, payment operations, or regulated financial institutions is desirable
