Lead JavaScript Engineer

Role Overview Ciklum India is hiring a Lead JavaScript Engineer to join a cross-functional product engineering team in Chennai. You will play a pivotal role in building a production-ready platform centred around a scalable Marketplace and a robust Workflow Engine, working alongside a global team of over 4,000 technology professionals. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop high-quality, scalable UI components based on design prototypes - Lead frontend development efforts using React.js and Next.js - Collaborate with backend developers to integrate REST APIs and deliver end-to-end solutions - Own frontend architecture decisions and ensure performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility - Conduct code reviews and uphold coding best practices across the team - Contribute to technical vision and guide junior developers through complex challenges Required Qualifications - 10 or more years of experience in frontend and UI development - Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, and Next.js - Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend frameworks - Proven track record of building responsive and high-performance web applications - Hands-on experience with REST API integration and backend collaboration - Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills - Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand is a plus - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Next.js performance optimisation is advantageous Why Join Us Ciklum offers a collaborative One Team culture where you can work on large-scale, globally impactful projects while growing through tailored learning, internal mobility, company-paid certifications, and comprehensive medical and mental health support.
