Lead Auditor Aquaculture

Role Overview DNV is a globally trusted independent expert in assurance and risk management, committed to safeguarding life, property, and the environment. As a Lead Auditor specialising in Aquaculture, you will be part of the Business Assurance division, conducting high-quality audits for aquaculture and food industry clients across global markets. This is a technically demanding role that combines deep domain expertise with client relationship management and a strong commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities - Perform global ASC, MSC, FOS, QMS, and other management system audits in compliance with GFSI and ISO schemes - Report audit findings accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with scheme and organisational requirements - Collaborate with sales and planning teams to ensure smooth project delivery - Manage key accounts and nurture long-term client relationships to support business development - Contribute market intelligence and support regional tactical planning initiatives - Identify and develop new project opportunities and manage an active opportunity pipeline - Deliver value-added training to clients and maintain auditor and trainer registrations - Travel domestically and internationally for audits, assignments, training sessions, and client meetings - Work as project manager for smaller, well-defined projects, ensuring execution aligns with DNV methodology Required Qualifications - Masters or Graduate degree in Aquaculture or an equivalent discipline from a recognised institution - Minimum 5 years of work experience in the food industry or food supply chain, including at least 3 years of hands-on aquaculture farm experience - At least 1 year of experience in auditing, inspection, or training at a recognised certification body - Qualified Lead Auditor certification for ASC or MSC standard and QMS - In-depth knowledge of FSSAI regulations and farm operations - Strong understanding of Quality Assurance principles in the food and aquaculture sector - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to interpret audit protocols and work instructions - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and senior-level client interaction Why Join Us DNV offers a collaborative and inclusive work environment where your expertise directly contributes to global safety and sustainability benchmarks.
