Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and experienced Key Account Manager to lead B2B sales efforts across high-value accounts in the electrical and lighting industry. Based in Chennai, this full-time role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with deep expertise in managing strategic accounts within sectors such as Lighting, Switchgear, Cables, LT Panels, or Electrical Appliances. The successful candidate will be responsible for building lasting customer relationships, growing revenue, and expanding market presence across designated geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within assigned accounts
- Develop and execute account-level growth strategies to increase wallet share across target segments and geographies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver tailored engagement programs for strategic accounts
- Create compelling customer success stories, case studies, and marquee project references to strengthen brand positioning
- Own the sales funnel from forecasting to timely project delivery, ensuring alignment with customer expectations
- Identify opportunities in High Potential Low Share segments and drive adoption of signature product solutions
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer requirements to inform business growth initiatives
- Map industry segments and sub-segments to build a strong and predictable sales pipeline
Required Qualifications
- B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, or an MBA or PGDM in Marketing
- 8 to 12 years of B2B sales experience in the electrical equipment or related industry
- Minimum 3 years in a Key Account Management role with exposure to large accounts and complex project environments
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and strategic planning capabilities
- Proven track record in revenue generation and business development
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned sales territory

Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or MBA or PGDM in Marketing
