IT Support Specialist

Role Overview IBM is looking for a skilled IT Support Specialist to join their team in Bengaluru. In this mid-senior level full-time role, you will be the go-to technical expert for IBM employees, taking complete ownership of customer satisfaction across a wide range of IT support services. You will handle everything from software configuration and device setup to reimaging, upgrades, and advanced troubleshooting with minimal dependence on external support resources. Key Responsibilities - Deliver end-to-end technical support services including software configuration, device installation, upgrades, and reimaging for IBM employees - Diagnose and resolve hardware and software malfunctions accurately and promptly using diagnostic tools, reference documentation, and service aids - Demonstrate leadership in innovative problem-solving and provide guidance and assistance to team members - Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all issues and resolutions in the service management system - Communicate proactively with IBM management and team members regarding work status, emerging issues, and requests for assistance - Analyse hardware and software installation, migration, and operational challenges using established techniques and tools - Recommend improvements to existing service delivery processes and procedures where applicable - Uphold professional conduct and a consistently courteous, positive attitude in all customer and team interactions Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field - Minimum 2 years of professional Windows support experience - Minimum 2 years of professional troubleshooting expertise - Strong working knowledge of Windows, Red Hat Linux, Mac OS, and iOS operating systems - Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Outlook, MS Office, MS Teams, OneDrive, Box, and Windows environments - Proficiency with mobile device support and management - Solid understanding of system configuration, physical connectivity, and network connectivity - Excellent communication, active listening, and customer service skills - Strong problem-solving ability with the flexibility to adapt to varying customer needs Why Join Us IBM is one of the world's most respected technology companies, offering you the opportunity to work in a globally connected environment with cutting-edge tools and a culture that values innovation and collaboration.
