IT Operations Engineer

Role Overview Altraize is looking for a skilled IT Operations professional to join its team in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. This full-time role involves managing and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure across multiple geographically dispersed sites, ensuring systems remain secure, compliant, and operational at all times. The ideal candidate will bring 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft-based environments, networking, and end-user support. Key Responsibilities - Maintain and support corporate applications, servers, LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VLAN infrastructure across multiple sites - Diagnose and resolve 1st and 2nd level technical issues, escalating complex incidents to 3rd level support when required - Document configurations, policies, and procedures in line with IT controls and regulatory requirements such as FDA and ITAR - Ensure all systems adhere to internal IT security policies and industry standards including ISO certifications - Manage and respond to user requests through a ticketing system, prioritising issues and ensuring timely resolution - Act as the first point of contact for all end-user IT queries and communicate solutions in a clear, professional manner - Implement and schedule preventative maintenance routines to reduce system downtime - Support asset management processes in line with defined IT standards and policies - Collaborate with regional and global IT teams to support Group IT operations and projects - Contribute to process improvements and stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices Required Qualifications - 3 to 5 years of experience in Microsoft-based technology, WAN/LAN environments, and systems support - Proficiency in Active Directory, Microsoft O365, Dell Kace, CyberArk, and Microsoft server administration - Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN routing and switching technologies across Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 - Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and familiarity with endpoint protection systems - Relevant IT certifications such as MCP, MCSE, or CompTIA are preferred - Familiarity with ITIL practices and process optimisation methodologies - Experience working in a multi-site, globally distributed IT environment is an advantage - Strong verbal and written communication skills in English - Certifications in cybersecurity, network infrastructure, system administration, or cloud technologies such as Azure are a plus Why Join Us Altraize offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic global IT environment where you can contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects and grow your technical expertise.
