Embedded Engr II

Role Overview Honeywell is seeking an Embedded Engineer II in Bengaluru to design, develop, and test next-generation embedded software and firmware. You will work on cutting-edge technologies within Honeywell's core business segments, including Aerospace Technologies and Industrial Automation. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional global teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and secure systems that make the world smarter and safer. Key Responsibilities - Design, code, and test real-time embedded software and firmware for industrial and aerospace applications - Collaborate with systems and hardware engineers to define software requirements and interfaces - Debug complex hardware/software integration issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in C/C++ following industry safety standards - Support lifecycle processes, including code reviews, version control, and continuous integration - Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical documentation and software design files Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Communication, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering - Minimum 2 years of experience in embedded software development and firmware design - Strong programming skills in C and C++ for microcontrollers and microprocessors - Hands-on experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and bare-metal programming - Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and Ethernet - Good understanding of software debugging tools and test automation frameworks Why Join Us Honeywell offers a dynamic, global environment where you can work on technologies that solve complex real-world challenges. - Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related engineering field - 2+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software development using C/C++ - Experience with microcontroller architectures (ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, etc.) and RTOS - Strong debugging skills using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers - Familiarity with hardware/software integration and basic electronics schematics - Good communication and collaboration skills to work in global engineering teams
