Director and Head of Treasury Product Control

Role Overview This is a senior leadership opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to head the Treasury Product Control and Valuation Control function at a leading international banking group, facilitated through Robert Walters Outsourcing. The position is based in Bengaluru and reports directly to the Global Head of Product Control and Subledger Operations. The successful candidate will drive end-to-end controllership across Treasury, Markets, IRRBB, Liquidity, and Capital functions while championing IFRS 9 transition and strategic finance transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities - Lead the design and implementation of Treasury Product Control and Valuation Control frameworks across the banking group - Oversee daily P&L reporting, balance sheet controls, and ensure full compliance with IFRS 9, IFRS 15, and other applicable accounting standards - Manage the Independent Price Verification process to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial instrument valuations - Oversee valuation control processes for loans and equity instruments in alignment with regulatory and industry standards - Engage with global and regional regulators, statutory auditors, and internal audit teams on all Treasury-related matters - Develop and maintain robust control frameworks, policies, and procedures to safeguard balance sheet and P&L integrity - Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness across the function - Lead, mentor, and retain a high-performing team while building succession pipelines for critical leadership roles - Partner with the Group Treasury CFO and Head of Treasury FP&A to deliver best-in-class controllership outcomes - Provide thought leadership on technology, regulatory reporting, and group-wide control transformation initiatives Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; Master's degree or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or CFA strongly preferred - 10 to 15 years of experience in finance or accounting with strong exposure to Treasury, FTP, and hedge accounting - Deep technical expertise in Treasury Product Control, Valuation Control frameworks including IAS 39, and financial instrument valuation - Proven track record in designing and executing controllership and hedge accounting strategies across multiple risk types - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment in data-driven environments - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across business and technical teams - Demonstrated leadership capability to manage and develop large, cross-functional finance teams Why Join Us This role offers a rare opportunity to lead a globally significant Treasury Control function within a top-tier international bank operating across 54 markets worldwide.
