Custom Software Engineer

Role Overview Accenture in India is looking for a skilled Custom Software Engineer to join its Chennai team. In this role, you will design, develop, and enhance custom software components across diverse systems and applications, working within agile frameworks to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. You will operate as a subject matter expert, driving technical excellence and contributing meaningfully to project outcomes. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop custom software solutions by coding, testing, and improving components across systems and applications - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and deliver effective, business-aligned software - Maintain and upgrade existing software by identifying improvement opportunities and implementing enhancements - Manage and orchestrate containerised workloads using Kubernetes across cloud and on-premise environments - Apply infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible and Terraform to streamline deployments - Leverage AI and AIOps platforms for IT operations monitoring, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation - Implement DevOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines and containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes - Document software designs, processes, and updates to support knowledge sharing across the team - Mentor and guide junior engineers by sharing best practices and supporting their professional development Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes (mandatory) - 7 to 12 years of overall experience in IT infrastructure, preferably within the banking or financial domain - Strong understanding of servers, networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP - Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform - Hands-on exposure to AIOps platforms, ML-based monitoring, and predictive analytics - Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, PowerShell, and Bash - Familiarity with security best practices and regulatory compliance in the banking sector - Working knowledge of ITIL processes - Cloud, infrastructure, or AI certifications such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or AIOps are a plus - 15 years of full-time formal education is required Why Join Us Accenture in India offers a dynamic, innovation-driven environment where you will work on cutting-edge technology initiatives across global clients.
