Credentialing Specialist

Role Overview Firstsource is looking for a skilled Credentialing Specialist to join their Chennai team on an immediate basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements to support seamless claim processing and steady revenue flow. This is a full-time, permanent position offering excellent exposure to US healthcare operations within a reputed BPM organisation. Key Responsibilities - Manage and maintain complete provider credentialing and re-credentialing workflows with commercial and federal payers including Medicare and Medicaid - Collect, verify, and update provider documentation such as licenses, certifications, NPI, CAQH, DEA numbers, and malpractice insurance records - Submit credentialing applications to add providers to commercial payer networks as well as government programs - Coordinate collection of required documents including CVs, insurance certificates, and authorised signatures, ensuring timely submissions - Collaborate with internal teams on new payer enrolments, group additions, and contract renewals to keep providers active in network - Maintain up-to-date individual provider files and deliver credentialing status reports to stakeholders - Resolve client escalations related to pending or delayed provider setups Required Qualifications - Any graduate with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in provider credentialing - Proven experience submitting commercial and federal payer applications - Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, medical billing, and RCM processes - Familiarity with enrollment workflows and payer contracting procedures Why Join Us Firstsource is a globally recognised BPM leader that offers a transparent, merit-based work environment with strong growth opportunities in the US healthcare domain. - 1 to 3 years of experience in provider credentialing - Hands-on experience with commercial and federal payer application submissions - Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid credentialing processes - Experience with CAQH, NPI, DEA, and malpractice insurance documentation - Familiarity with payer enrollment and contract renewal processes - Understanding of medical billing and revenue cycle management - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple provider files - Any graduate degree
