Role Overview
Google is looking for a Channel Sales and Activation Manager based in Bengaluru or Gurugram to lead retail programs and field sales operations across India. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a large-scale in-store promoter program, managing budgets, and driving sell-out performance for Google devices and services. You will bring strong retail expertise, data-driven thinking, and the ability to align multiple stakeholders toward shared business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the in-store promoter program by setting performance targets, managing daily operations, driving like-for-like growth, and conducting ROI assessments of channel activities
- Manage the OPEX profit and loss for promoter and merchandising programs including quarterly and annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Handle third-party vendor relationships and ensure performance is aligned with agreed Service Level Agreements
- Build, coach, and guide the vendor CSA team to deliver consistent results
- Ensure seamless execution of customer programs, experience roll-outs, and new product launches within partner retail stores
- Collect, analyse, and report on performance data and consumer insights to support regional and global business decisions
- Collaborate with India sales leads to shape short, mid, and long-term strategies for improving sales, product placement, and consumer engagement
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- At least 5 years of experience in retail management, field sales management, or channel marketing
- Proven experience managing budgets, OPEX, and performance reporting
- Prior experience managing retail promoters or field programs
- Hands-on experience in agency and vendor relationship management and project implementation
- Experience in the consumer electronics industry is a strong advantage
- Ability to use data to drive decisions and strong analytical and investigative skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate and drive consensus across internal and external teams

Requirements
