Associate / Senior Associate - Settlement Services

The Associate / Senior Associate - Settlement Services role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that manages the end-to-end closing and settlement process for REO and origination transactions. The ideal candidate will work with external stakeholders including borrowers, attorneys, lenders, and selling agents to ensure smooth and timely closings. Key Responsibilities - Communicate professionally with external stakeholders such as borrowers, selling agents, lenders, and attorneys - Handle both inbound and outbound calls with strong objection handling skills - Review and clear all pre-closing requirements to obtain clear-to-close status - Schedule closings with buyers and lenders and track all closing deadlines - Review title commitments and prepare comprehensive closing packages - Analyse tax statements and accurately prorate taxes as required - Review HOA dues and lien payoffs and manage disbursements and funding activities - Ensure a consistently positive customer experience throughout the entire closing process - Work on multiple files simultaneously while meeting defined SLAs Required Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of experience in REO settlement or mortgage originations process - In-depth knowledge of REO transactions and settlement functions including state-level closing requirements - Strong ability to manage multiple files concurrently and meet SLA targets - Experience working with cross-functional and multicultural teams - Excellent verbal and written communication skills Why Join Us Altisource fosters an inclusive and diverse workplace culture where every employee has the opportunity to grow and succeed. - Minimum 2 years of experience in REO settlement or mortgage originations - Detailed knowledge of REO settlement processes and state-level closing requirements - Experience reviewing title commitments and preparing closing packages - Knowledge of tax proration, HOA dues, lien payoffs, disbursements, and funding - Ability to handle inbound and outbound calls with effective objection handling - Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and adhere to SLAs - Experience collaborating with cross-functional and multicultural teams - Strong written and verbal communication skills
