Assistant Project Manager

Role Overview Carelon Global Solutions, a fully owned subsidiary of Elevance Health and one of America's leading managed healthcare companies, is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for its Bengaluru office. This is an end-to-end project ownership role embedded within the healthcare operations domain, offering exposure to large-scale digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will drive project governance, manage budgets and timelines, and build strong stakeholder relationships across a global matrix organisation. Key Responsibilities - Own the full project lifecycle from initiation to close-out, including scope definition, approval processes, deployment planning, and retrospection activities - Lead project meetings, document and prioritise scope changes, and facilitate approval workflows in partnership with project sponsors - Monitor ROI, track time and budget against plan, manage risk and outliers, and propose mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle - Define and execute testing strategy, conduct quality review checkpoints, and archive necessary project approvals - Provide regular business updates on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to stakeholders at all organisational levels - Secure appropriate skill sets for project teams, set expectations with resource managers, and provide performance feedback to team members - Facilitate resolution of issues and execute communication plans effectively within a matrix environment Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent; MBA preferred - 8 to 12 years of hands-on project management experience with demonstrated end-to-end delivery - Strong knowledge of project lifecycle methodologies, testing strategies, and documentation standards - Experience managing ROI tracking and handling project outliers and risks - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of leadership - Proven ability to build effective team environments and relationships in a cross-functional, matrix organisation Why Join Us Carelon Global Solutions offers a culture built on innovation, diversity, and continuous learning, with competitive health benefits, best-in-class workspaces, and a globally connected team dedicated to simplifying healthcare operations.
