Job Description

Role Overview Vinayaka Missions School of Health Systems, a constituent institution of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Professor to join its faculty in Chennai. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for an academically driven professional with a passion for healthcare management, hospital administration, and health systems education. The institution offers postgraduate programs including the Master of Hospital Administration and maintains a strong focus on healthcare leadership, public health, digital health, and healthcare analytics. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials aligned with program objectives - Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive course materials for undergraduate and postgraduate learners - Evaluate student performance through well-structured assignments, examinations, and project assessments - Conduct independent and collaborative research and pursue publication in peer-reviewed journals - Advise, mentor, and supervise students on academic projects, dissertations, and theses - Participate actively in curriculum review, program development, and departmental planning - Contribute to institutional service including accreditation processes, academic events, and outreach activities Required Qualifications - Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution - Demonstrated teaching effectiveness or strong potential at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels - Evidence of research output such as publications, conference presentations, or active research projects - Ability to design transparent and fair assessment frameworks with constructive student feedback - Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory teaching and mentoring practices - Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with students, colleagues, and external partners - Willingness to engage in departmental administration and institutional development initiatives - Prior teaching experience, industry exposure, or familiarity with learning management systems is an added advantage Why Join Us Vinayaka Missions School of Health Systems offers a stimulating academic environment where faculty contribute meaningfully to the future of healthcare education and leadership in India. Requirements
