Assistant Financial Controller

We are hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to support our Finance team and contribute to accurate, timely financial reporting in a fast-paced commercial environment. Key Responsibilities - Lead the monthly management accounts close process covering P&L review, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and balance sheet reconciliations - Collaborate closely with the AP team to ensure all postings are correctly coded to the relevant nominals, departments, and classes - Review and approve journals and post month-end entries including accruals and prepayments - Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of internal financial controls - Assist with tax compliance obligations such as VAT returns and corporation tax schedules across multiple jurisdictions - Contribute to finance process improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and accuracy - Build strong relationships with non-finance colleagues and provide guidance on financial matters as needed - Support budget holders through training and financial advisory assistance - Assist with regional audit compliance and handle additional ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned Required Qualifications - Qualified or part-qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting certification - Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting function - Strong command of management accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF functions - High level of numeracy and analytical thinking with strong attention to detail - Ability to manage tight deadlines and balance competing priorities effectively - Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders - Prior experience with an ERP system is desirable and knowledge of NetSuite is an added advantage Why Join Us 73 Strings offers a collaborative and innovation-driven work culture where your contributions truly make an impact.
