Job Description

Role Overview APM Terminals is seeking an experienced and strategic Area Head for ATR (NAM) to lead end-to-end financial governance and accounting delivery across multiple business segments including Ocean, LnS, and APMT IS. This is a senior leadership role embedded within the regional ATR structure, responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across the area. The role serves as the primary interface within GSC, partnering closely with Area Finance leadership to drive alignment on performance, controls, and transformation priorities. Key Responsibilities - Own overall financial governance and delivery across multiple business areas, ensuring timely book closures and high-quality financial reporting - Drive financial data integrity and compliance standards across agency and principal books through effective management of Area Managers - Provide strategic oversight on accounting operations with a focus on standardization, scalability, and continuous process improvement - Partner with senior stakeholders including Area CFOs and Finance Leaders to drive performance measurement and enable data-driven decision-making - Lead audit readiness and compliance governance, ensuring robust internal controls and proactive risk mitigation - Champion cross-functional collaboration with COEs, HQ, and GSC functions to improve ATR processes and operational efficiency - Own and drive the automation and digital transformation roadmap across finance operations - Build and develop a high-performing team of Area Managers through coaching, capability development, and succession planning - Identify systemic gaps and lead transformation initiatives to address performance, process, and capability enhancements Required Qualifications - Degree in Accounting, Audit, or Finance with strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS guidelines - Professional accounting qualification is mandatory - 18 to 20 or more years of prior experience in accounting and financial reporting - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite - Hands-on SAP experience - Proven experience in management reporting, financial controlling, and analytical functions - Strong track record of delivering results through both direct and indirect teams - Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage across multiple organizational levels - Analytical mindset with strong root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities Why Join Us At APM Terminals, part of the Maersk Group, you will be part of a globally respected organization that values every individual's contribution and invests in your long-term career growth. Requirements

- Degree in Accounting, Audit, or Finance; professional qualification mandatory - 18 to 20 or more years of experience in accounting and financial reporting - Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS guidelines - Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office proficiency - SAP experience required - Experience in management reporting and financial controlling - Proven ability to lead and deliver through direct and indirect teams - Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills - Ability to manage complex situations proactively and work under pressure
