Application Support Engineer - SAP FI/CO Functional Tester

Role Overview As an Application Support Engineer specializing in SAP FI/CO Functional Testing, you will act as a software quality detective identifying and solving issues within critical business finance systems. You will be responsible for validating finance business processes and ensuring quality delivery across SAP environments through comprehensive testing activities. This role involves end-to-end testing lifecycle participation, defect management, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams including SAP consultants, developers, and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Perform complete Software Testing Life Cycle activities including requirement analysis, test design, test execution, and comprehensive reporting - Design, develop, and execute functional, integration, and regression test cases specifically for SAP FI/CO modules - Manage and track test cases and defects using ALM or Jira tools, ensuring full traceability and timely defect closure - Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, development teams, and business users to validate finance workflows and processes - Perform defect triaging, conduct root cause analysis, and execute retesting activities to ensure quality - Prepare detailed test documentation including test scenarios, test cases, requirements traceability matrix, and execution reports - Support User Acceptance Testing cycles and ensure complete alignment with business requirements - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes and testing standards Required Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of professional experience in SAP FI/CO functional testing and quality assurance - Hands-on expertise in ALM (HP ALM/QC) and/or Jira for test and defect management - Strong understanding of SAP Finance modules including GL, AP, AR, and Asset Accounting - Experience with System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and Regression Testing in SAP environments - Knowledge of SAP integrations with other modules such as MM and SD - Full-time degree qualification with 15 years of education - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Ability to work both independently and within collaborative team environments Why Join Us Join Accenture and become part of a leading global IT services and consulting firm where you will work on critical business systems impacting finance operations.
