Job Description
Role Overview
As an Application Support Engineer, you will serve as a software detective, identifying and resolving issues within critical business systems. You will collaborate with various teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents while ensuring business operations run smoothly. Your work will focus on problem-solving, system performance analysis, and continuous improvement of support processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve issues in critical business systems
- Manage and collaborate with teams to perform incident resolution and troubleshooting
- Take responsibility for team decisions and provide solutions across multiple departments
- Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities and expertise
- Monitor and report on incident trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7.5 years of experience in Critical Incident Management
- Bachelor's degree in any specialization or equivalent postgraduate qualification
- 15 years of full-time education
- Proficiency in incident management tools and processes

Requirements
- 12 years minimum professional experience required
- 7.5 years specific experience in Critical Incident Management
- Proficiency in Critical Incident Management frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with incident management tools and processes
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Subject matter expert level expertise
- Experience with ITIL processes and methodologies
- Knowledge of ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar incident management platforms
- SQL and Linux/Unix knowledge preferred
- ITIL certification preferred
