Job Description

Role Overview Target, a Fortune 50 global retail giant with over 400,000 team members worldwide, is looking for a skilled Payroll Analyst to join its Bengaluru operations. This role is part of a fully integrated global team responsible for managing nonexempt and exempt payroll for US-based Target team members with complete accuracy and strict compliance with federal and state laws. The ideal candidate will bring deep subject matter expertise, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to collaborate across multiple internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Process payroll checks with 100 percent accuracy and ensure timely disbursement every pay cycle - Review and resolve pay run audit reports before paychecks are generated and distributed - Analyze payroll reports proactively to identify recurring issues and escalate trends to relevant partners - Monitor all payroll mailboxes and ensure all requests and forms are addressed within a 24-hour SLA - Ensure full awareness and application of US payroll policies and compliance requirements in daily work - Partner with onshore payroll teams during peak and critical processing periods to manage high volumes - Support year-end payroll activities including managing calendar changes and adhoc projects - Maintain internal audit controls to uphold 100 percent team accuracy and identify improvement areas - Reconcile unmatched voucher accounts to reduce overpayments and partner with the GL team for accurate records - Train and equip new contractors and existing team members during peak seasons on high-volume processes - Identify process streamlining opportunities and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy Required Qualifications - Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business, or Human Resources - FPC, CPP, or equivalent Payroll Certification is mandatory - Minimum 5 years of end-to-end US payroll processing experience - Strong knowledge of US federal and state payroll laws and taxation - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills - Demonstrated integrity in handling confidential employer and employee information - Analytical mindset with proven ability to make data-driven business decisions - Commitment to coaching principles and collaborative problem-solving Why Join Us At Target India, you will be part of a globally respected team that values diverse perspectives and fosters an inclusive learning environment. Requirements

- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business, or Human Resources - FPC, CPP, or recognized Payroll Certification mandatory - Minimum 5 years of US payroll processing experience - Strong knowledge of US federal and state tax laws - End-to-end payroll processing expertise - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - High attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent professional communication skills - Ability to analyze data and support business decisions - Demonstrated integrity with confidential information
