Agile Project Manager (IT)

Role Overview Cognizant is looking for a seasoned Agile Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects using Agile methodologies. This role demands close collaboration with international clients and distributed teams, and requires professional fluency in at least one foreign language such as Italian, Spanish, German, Korean, or Japanese. The ideal candidate brings a servant-leadership mindset and a strong track record of delivering complex IT programs on time and within scope. Key Responsibilities - Lead complete Agile IT project delivery cycles, ensuring outcomes align with business goals - Facilitate core Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives - Partner with Product Owners to manage and prioritise backlogs and plan releases effectively - Identify and remove delivery impediments while proactively managing risks, dependencies, and issues - Coordinate across cross-functional teams spanning engineering, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders - Track sprint velocity, delivery metrics, and progress through transparent dashboards and reports - Ensure adherence to Agile best practices, governance frameworks, and quality standards - Communicate project status, milestones, and risks clearly to senior stakeholders and global clients - Champion continuous improvement and support change management initiatives across teams Required Qualifications - 8 or more years of experience as an Agile Project Manager, Scrum Master, or Delivery Manager - Hands-on proficiency with Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe - Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices - Experience managing distributed or multi-location teams across geographies - Professional-level fluency in one of the following languages: Italian, Spanish, German, Korean, or Japanese - Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence - Postgraduate qualification in any discipline preferred Why Join Us Cognizant is a global leader in IT services and consulting, offering a dynamic environment where you can lead high-impact projects for international clients while growing your career alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry.
