Accountant

Role Overview Volvo Group is seeking a skilled Accountant to join its Accounting and Company Control, Record to Report Department in Bengaluru. This is a full-time, office-based role where you will collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality financial operations and reporting. You will play a key part in supporting the Group Finance function, which drives financial planning, accounting, and business controlling across a global organisation of nearly 100,000 professionals. Key Responsibilities - Maintain SAP Master Data for FI and CO modules in cooperation with Volvo Group Partners - Manage end-to-end Fixed Asset cycles including investment management, Capex budgeting, capitalisation, internal order creation, WBS element setup, AUC settlements, retirements, transfers, Forex gain or loss, and asset scrapping or sales - Perform Fixed Asset reconciliations and prepare monthly financial reports using Blackline - Record and manage General Ledger business transactions and prepare detailed financial reports - Liaise daily with clients within assigned areas of responsibility - Participate in both internal and external audit processes - Monitor and analyse business transactions in accordance with IFRS standards and Volvo Group Financial Policies and Procedures - Understand system interfaces and their impact on financial statements Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce - Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Fixed Asset accounting, reconciliation, month-end close reporting, and financial reporting - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint - Working experience in GL, AP, AR, and FA modules with SAP exposure preferred - Sound understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards Why Join Us At Volvo Group, you will work alongside some of the most innovative minds in the transport and infrastructure sector, contributing to solutions that shape a more sustainable future. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce - 3 to 5 years of experience in Fixed Asset accounting and reconciliation - Experience in month-end close and financial reporting processes - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint - SAP exposure with knowledge of GL, AP, AR, and FA modules - Good understanding of IFRS and Volvo Group Financial Policies - Knowledge of Fixed Asset cycles including Capex, AUC, WBS, and internal orders - Experience with Blackline or similar reconciliation tools preferred
