Test Automation Engineer - Quality Engineering

Role Overview Husky Technologies is hiring a Test Automation Engineer for its Quality Engineering team based in Guindy, Chennai. In this full-time role, you will design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks that validate system behaviour across UI, APIs, and integrations. You will embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and champion a shift-left quality approach that supports continuous delivery and high engineering standards. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop scalable test automation frameworks with reusable components for UI, API, and integration layers - Translate business requirements into automation-ready test scenarios, test data, and comprehensive validation strategies - Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and monitor pipeline stability and reliability - Execute a balanced mix of automated and manual tests covering functional, regression, exploratory, and edge-case scenarios - Identify, log, prioritise, and track defects through their full resolution lifecycle and perform root cause analysis - Contribute to performance, reliability, and resilience testing using tools such as JMeter or k6 - Collaborate with developers, product owners, and tech leads to ensure alignment on quality goals and sprint commitments - Manage test data strategies and maintain stable, production-like test environments - Participate in code reviews and continuously improve automation frameworks and engineering practices Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline - 5 or more years of experience in software testing with a strong automation focus - Hands-on experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks - Proficiency in one or more programming languages including C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or Swift - Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Katalon, Playwright, or Cypress - Solid knowledge of API testing using REST principles and tools like Postman - Experience with Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps - Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, k6) and security testing practices (SAST, DAST, SCA) - Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and DevSecOps practices - Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile delivery methodologies Why Join Us At Husky Technologies, every team member's contribution is visible and valued, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine impact on cutting-edge projects that transform both internal operations and customer outcomes.
