Data Engineer

Role Overview Husky Technologies is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join its DST Data Team based in Guindy, Chennai. This full-time role is central to maintaining and advancing the company's enterprise-wide Business Intelligence and Data Management ecosystem. The successful candidate will work within a global DST organization to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of the Enterprise Data Warehouse and associated data pipelines across both on-premises and Azure cloud environments. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and deploy data integration and transformation solutions across on-premises and Azure cloud platforms - Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot back-end data load processes and ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure high availability and data quality - Perform root-cause analysis on production issues and drive timely resolution with minimal disruption to BI operations - Execute end-to-end Business Intelligence and Data Engineering initiatives including requirement analysis, data modeling, solution design, deployment, and post-production support - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to translate business needs into scalable data solutions - Support pre-production and production data infrastructure environments for stability and performance - Contribute to Master Data Management initiatives covering data quality, standardization, and stewardship processes - Conduct data profiling, advanced data analysis, and validation to support integration design and quality assessments - Lead infrastructure capacity assessments, performance tuning, and architectural improvement recommendations - Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors including cloud service providers for seamless project delivery - Participate in software release planning and deployment of enhancements, patches, and new features - Ensure compliance with enterprise coding best practices, documentation standards, testing, and data governance policies Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field - 5 to 10 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics roles within complex enterprise environments - Strong hands-on expertise with ETL/ELT development involving medium to high complexity pipelines - Proficiency in Microsoft data technologies including SQL Server 2019/2022, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, SSAS, Power BI, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake - Solid programming and scripting skills in T-SQL, PowerShell, VBA, and VBScript - Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and version control - Strong understanding of Windows Server 2019/2022 operational environments - Familiarity with Data Warehouse Automation tools such as dbt and data replication tools such as Fivetran is an advantage - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences - Fluency in English is required; German or French language skills are considered an asset Why Join Us Husky Technologies offers a competitive compensation and benefits package along with exceptional career growth opportunities within a globally recognized organization.
