Solutions Architect - Backend (.Net, Node, TypeScript)

Role Overview Talentgigs is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with a strong backend engineering background to design and govern scalable, agent-ready systems. This is a remote, full-time opportunity suited for a senior technical leader with deep expertise in .NET, Node.js, and TypeScript. The ideal candidate will drive legacy modernization initiatives and play a central role in enabling AI-augmented engineering workflows. Key Responsibilities - Break down legacy monolithic architectures into modular, agent-navigable systems with clearly defined boundaries and single responsibilities - Lead phased modernization efforts using the Strangler Pattern, wrapping legacy logic within contract-driven, modern interfaces - Promote SOLID principles, Dependency Injection, and Hexagonal Architecture to support deterministic AI execution - Design and manage the agent context layer including standardized Skills, Rules, and Commands that power AI-driven engineering workflows - Build and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that expose legacy APIs, services, and databases as secure, typed, AI-ready tools - Own contract-first API design as the bridge between human objectives and autonomous agent execution - Review and govern AI-generated pull requests with accountability for scalability, security, and long-term code quality - Enforce test-driven development (TDD) and characterization testing as standard practices during refactoring - Monitor and optimize agentic reasoning pipelines for cost efficiency, execution speed, and architectural soundness Required Qualifications - 15 or more years of experience in software architecture, platform engineering, or senior technical leadership - Proven track record of successfully modernizing complex and under-documented legacy systems - Deep hands-on expertise with TypeScript, .NET, and Node.js - Strong foundation in API design, distributed systems, and modular software architecture - Practical exposure to agentic development workflows, MCP, LLM tooling, or AI-augmented engineering environments - Strong inclination toward writing clean, deterministic, and production-ready code Why Join Us Talentgigs offers a remote-first work environment where you will work on cutting-edge agentic platforms and influence meaningful architectural decisions.
