SENIOR TECHNICIAN

Duties and

Responsibilities:

Supervise and perform maintenance, repair, and installation of retail equipment such as POS systems, HVAC, refrigeration units, electrical and mechanical systems. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical problems in electrical, mechanical, or electronic systems used within the retail space. Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized repairs and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Lead, train, and mentor junior technicians or maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and maintenance protocols. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory for accountability and scheduling. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns or service interruptions to minimize downtime and customer impact. Ensure work areas and equipment meet safety and cleanliness standards within the retail environment. Assist in managing procurement and inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies. Key Result Areas (KRAs): Equipment uptime and operational efficiency in retail outlets. Timely completion of scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance. Reduction in equipment breakdown frequency through effective monitoring. Compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards. Efficient management and training of maintenance team. Accurate documentation and reporting of maintenance activities. Cost control related to maintenance and repair activities.
