Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview Ericsson is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join its product development team in Chennai. The role is embedded within cross-functional Agile teams that prioritise continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing as part of everyday work. You will contribute to building high-quality, cloud-native software solutions that address some of the most complex challenges in the telecom and technology space. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and automate high-quality software products - Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis as and when required - Own test coverage for affected components and functional areas - Participate in code and artefact reviews to maintain engineering standards - Prepare and deliver necessary documentation and progress reports to stakeholders - Work in alignment with Agile and Lean methodologies within cross-functional teams Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science - Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture principles along with hands-on experience in Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker - Proficiency in Golang and Python; Java experience is an added plus - Familiarity with software development tools such as Git, Gerrit, Maven, and Jenkins - Experience working with Observability stacks and Linux systems - Exposure to cloud, virtualisation, infrastructure, or IP networking environments - Experience collaborating with open-source communities - CKAD or CKA certification is a bonus Why Join Us At Ericsson, you will have the opportunity to push the boundaries of technology alongside a diverse team of innovators who are passionate about shaping what comes next.
