Role Overview
Span Filtration Systems Pvt. Ltd. (SFS) is a leading name in industrial air filtration in India, with over 15,000 installations across sectors including automotive, aerospace, electronics, medical equipment, and robotics. The Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for engaging industrial clients, understanding their air filtration challenges, and delivering tailored technical solutions from the SFS product portfolio. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune offering rich exposure to diverse industrial environments and cutting-edge filtration technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective and existing industrial customers to understand air filtration requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals to varied stakeholders
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead qualification and site surveys through to order closure
- Coordinate with internal engineering and project teams to ensure accurate system design, competitive pricing, and on-time delivery
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including on-site troubleshooting and application guidance
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships to drive repeat business, referrals, and high customer satisfaction
- Track and manage sales pipeline using CRM tools and maintain thorough documentation throughout
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven experience in sales engineering or technical pre-sales with strong ability to translate customer needs into effective solutions
- Background in industrial equipment, filtration systems, or capital goods is highly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, pipeline management, and customer relationship building
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools with good organizational and documentation habits
- Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits and site surveys
