Senior Network Engineer

Role Overview We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on building and maintaining enterprise-grade network infrastructure. This is a contract opportunity based in Chennai for a professional who can combine deep technical knowledge with leadership capabilities to drive network reliability and modernization across a global environment. The ideal candidate will take ownership of end-to-end network operations while collaborating with vendors and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure - Lead network automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention - Configure and manage routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS - Deploy and maintain enterprise firewall technologies and network security frameworks - Perform network monitoring, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability - Drive infrastructure modernization projects and continuous improvement efforts - Manage vendor relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders - Maintain accurate technical documentation and oversee change management processes - Contribute to network reliability engineering practices within Agile delivery frameworks Required Qualifications - 8 or more years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles - Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and enterprise network security - Proficiency in routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS - Experience with wireless network design and large-scale deployment - Familiarity with network automation tools and methodologies - Solid understanding of firewall technologies and network security best practices - CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent industry certification is preferred - Prior experience working in Agile or Network Reliability Engineering environments Why Join Us This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale network projects within a globally connected environment where your technical leadership will directly shape infrastructure outcomes.
